Kheer Ganga (2950 meters) lies at the extreme end of Parvati valley and is the last inhabited village while trekking to pin valley via Pin-Parvati pass. Kheerganga’s panoramic skies and vast greenery are a much-needed delight to the trekker’s eyes and especially the tired legs. It is a holy place with a hot water spring, a small temple of Lord Shiva, and a bathing tank. Camping at Kheerganga can be a wonderful and serene experience with spectacular views.

History of Kheerganga:
Lord Shiva (some say it was his son Kartik) came to Kheerganga and is said to have meditated for thousands of years. ‘Kheerganga or Kheer Ganga as the name suggests is Ganga River ( the Ganges River) as White as a Kheer (an Indian sweet dish made from milk and Rice).

Itinerary

Day 0: Delhi to Kasol overnight Drive 5:00 PM (500 Km)

Assemble at ISBT Kashmiri Gate/ Majnu ka Tilla at 4:30 pm. Our Group coordinators will be there to receive you. Get your seats in Volvo/minibus/traveler and post that journey will begin to our destination Kasol.

Day 1 :Explore Kasol & Manikaran

You will reach Kasol in the morning, You can check in to your camps/hotels and freshen up. Camping at Kheerganga can be a wonderful and serene experience with spectacular views. Here you can head out to visit the local places, their culture and can shop & at a flea market. Get ready in the evening to visit Gurudwara Shri Manikaran Sahib. After coming back, we will enjoy snacks, and dinner and relax by sitting near a bonfire while hearing some light music.

Day 2: Kasol to Barshaini drive (20km) and then trek to Kheerganga (12 Km) (13051 feet)

When you will wake up, you will experience a mesmerizing sunrise at Kasol. Get fresh, and have some hot-served breakfast. Then, we will head towards the starting point of the trek which is Barshaini.

After reaching Barshaini, we will begin your trek to Kheerganga. The route is covered by the mighty mountains and caressed by the Parvati river. This trek can be classified as an easy to moderate trek. The calmness of these mountains which are thickly covered by herbs & shrubs and the roar of the flawless river combined together and offers some beautiful sights which will cherish us. You can take bath in the Parvati Kund (hot spring bath).

On this day our camp stay is in Kheerganga. Spend the night gazing at the stars or sleeping under the stars.

Day 3: Trek from Kheerganga to Barshaini and return journey to Delhi

On this day, wake up early in the morning and watch the magnificent sunrise.  After breakfast, we will start the trek back to Barshaini. Once again you are going to experience mesmerizing views/landscapes.

Meet us at the meeting point at 4:00 PM.  Then we will start our journey back to Delhi. We will reach back with a bunch of memories and moments that would be cherished forever.

Yes, people mostly join us solo or with their 1-2 friends and take back new extended family with them and a lot of golden memories which they cherish forever.

What is the starting age to participate in this trek?

The traveler should be of 14 years or above.

I have never done any trek, can I join this Trek?

Yes, you can join us for the trek, if you are doing any of the fitness activities in your day-to-day life. In case, you have an inactive lifestyle then you need to prepare yourself physically so that you climb the mountain and enjoy the trek.

What physical preparation do I need to do for this trek?

You need to work on endurance and strength. So to get it you need to start doing the regular walk and then gradually move from a walk to jogging and running. Keep the practice on until you are not able to run 2 km in at least 15 minutes or walk at least an hour continuously without any break.

What things do I need to carry along for this Trek?

Following are the essential items that you must carry with you:

  • Windproof jacket, Warm and thick Fleece / Full-sleeve Woollen sweater
  • Thermal inner wear (upper and lower)
  • Woolen cap, Woollen gloves, Woollen socks, and regular socks (3-4 pairs)
  • Scarf/muffler (optional)
  • Comfortable Trekking/Hiking shoes
  • Lightweight floaters/sandals/slippers
  • Raincoat / Poncho
  • Small lightweight towel
  • Sturdy Water bottle, Avoid empty Bisleri bottles

Our food consists of vegetarian as well as non-vegetarian dishes.

With present govt policies updates no, if in future any change of policy happens we shall update you, and then accordingly actions have to be taken by you.
